Without revolutionary theory there can be no revolutionary movement. In Revolutionære Socialister we therefor put thorough attention to Marxist theory, as it is the only theory that can explain the crisis of capitalism and simultaneously be used as a weapon to overthrow it.

This time we will be focusing on Leon Trotsky and his ideas. The experiences he made and the role that he played in the revolutionary struggle for socialism is a treasure that all revolutionaries today ought to study. His theoretical contributions to Marxism are also crucial for understanding today's crisis ridden world.
    The agenda reads as follows:

    - Leon Trotsky's life
    - The theory of the permanent revolution
    - Organizational Report of the International Marxist Trendency (IMT): Status and Work in the Sections

The exact times will be added with a few days, but the school will be taking place roughly from 11:00 am to 17:00 pm. The lead offs will be in Danish, but English translation will be provided.

The meeting is for members of RS and people who are interested in joinig the struggle for a socialist world revolution.

Looking forward to seeing you for a great day!

  • RUC: What is capitalism? What is socialism?

Show that you are attending the event here

150 years ago Karl Marx analysed the capitalist system in the Communist Manifesto. This analysis is more relevant today than ever. In order to fight capitalism we need to understand the system that we are fighting.

Marx, however, did not only analyse capitalism - he also described the system that should replace it. Marxist Students invites you to a meeting and discussion about capitalism and how to achieve socialism.

No prior knowledge about Marxism is required in order to participate in the meeting.

Revolutionære Socialister has the great pleasure of inviting you to its summer fundraising party taking place on the 24th of June at St. Pauli Bar (Halmtorvet 54, 1700 København). The party is coinciding with Sankt Hans Day and instead of burning witches, we have chosen a better fitting theme for our little celebration: Burn the Bourgeoisie!
We'll be there starting 14:00 up until midnight, so come help us set ablaze the real villain in society over some beers and let's make a barbecue out of it!

The beer will be cheap, the BBQ will have Veg options, and all the funds we raise will go directly to the financing of our international revolutionary activities.

Don't forget to bring friends along and see you there!

  • What is Fascism? How do we fight it?

With the emergence of Rasmus Paludan, the election of Donald Trump as the President of the United States, the growth in popularity of politicians such as Bolsonaro in Brazil, Marie Le Pen in France and Gert Wilders in the Netherlands, and the increased focus on ethnicity, nationality and the nation state, it seems to many like Fascism is on the rise all over the world. Are we staring into a similar situation as the German, Italian and Spanish working class was in the 1930’s, or is the growth of right wing populism an expression of something else?

Join Marxist Students at Science when we discuss what Fascism is, and the way to fight back against this most reactionary ideology.

You might have heard about Marxism, but most likely as a dry
academic discipline or as a totalitarian Stalinist system. But the real ideas of Karl Marx are very different, and an excellent tool to understand the dynamics of class society.

This meeting will be an introduction to Marxism as a theory, science and as a guide to revolutionary action. The meeting is open to everyone, no prior knowledge needed.

Join the Marxist Students and the Revolutionary Socialists! We will meet at the cantine of the Biocenter at Nørre Campus.
